Hello bloggers hope you are all well and happy in your crafting, once again I have been absent from my blog mainly due to decorating omg! it took ages putting everything back and we just made it before I went down with a really rotten cold......hey ho sure sign winter is around the corner :(
Anyway enough chitty chat and on with my make today which is for A Vintage Journey Challenge 17 - Halloween - To Die For. Needs to be heavily influenced by Tim, use at least one die and Halloween.
Well I was clapping my hands with delight when I saw the challenge (in between coughing and spluttering with cold.....) but what better way to make me feel better.
I have a new (new to me) toy to play with and I love getting inky so all I needed was the cold fuddled brain to kick in. It did eventually and here is what I made.....
My new toy is this fabulous lantern die from Tim which I have been drooling over for a while and a rummage in my bit box came up with the black spiders web (netting). Black spider was another Tim die cut from black packaging ( I really really don't like spiders eek) I only bought this die because I adore the Candle lol. The lantern was cut from card which was a light brown and inked within an inch of its life with vintage photo and black soot distress inks to age and dirty the lantern. The spiders wove their webs around the lantern even inside and hung about to scare me!! I cut the word EEK and 31 from Tim Holtz Seasonal Salvage Stickers backed them on black card and stuck them in place. The Bird is a Tim stamp which I stamped with black soot onto same card as the lantern cut out and then inking all the edges with black soot. Lastly I placed a light inside.
Hope you like my make and it is Scary enough for the challenge..........it scares me lol!
I have had a fabulous time playing with my new die and have so many ideas going around in my head for future makes.........just need more crafting time...........
'till next time
