My make this week is a gift bag and the image  Lil Girl Bird was coloured with Spectrum Noir pens, I distressed around the edges with vintage photo, also did the same around the edges of the papers, the papers I have had in my stash for some time not sure where they are from.

Buttons were added to the flowers with twine, also I mixed in some wooden flowers left in their natural state, lace was cut into small pieces and added between these flowers, I stamped best wishes onto same paper and added pearls.  Butterflies were punched out of same papers and added to top of bag, more pearls were added to the butterflies on the paper.

Hi everyone

Welcome to my new followers and thank you so much for joining me on my crafting journey.

Today is the start of a new challenge at Glitter N Sparkle - Anything Goes.

My Design Team make is using an image from Cute as a Button - Aviator.

This image was such fun to work with and I have made a door hanger and birthday card using bright colours, just right for a little boy.

I coloured the card with Promarkers and cut it out so he is flying in the stars, the door hanger used same papers and I coloured the inmage with Inktense pencils and blended with water giving a softer colour.

Industrial "M"

Hi

So excited today I have been invited to join  A Vintage Journey  as Guest Designer for the current challenge Industrial.  It is a great honour to be asked to share my inspiration for this challenge amongst a very talented Design Team, and this technique is one of my favourite Tim techniques and it was great fun to revisit.

I have had this "M" in my stash forever and it has been waiting for me to " do something" with it and this challenge really did seem ideal, so I gathered together foil tape, paints, and embossing folders to cover the letter, Sizzix Dies, Idea-ology bits and pieces and more paint were added together to make the flower embellishments. Feathers

My AJ page today is F for Feathers joining in at The Craft Barn Alpha/Dictionary Challenge

My main chosen stamp was from the  A little Bit Sketchy collection from Sheena Douglass - Falling Feathers.
I gathered some paints and inks together, Pebeo Iridescent Gold was brushed directly onto the stamps and randomly stamped, this paint is gorgeously iridescent but unfortunately not showing very well in photo.
I also used up some Spectrum Noir inks which had dried in the palette I sprayed with water and applied to the stamps these were very wet and soaked into the water colour paper giving a lovely washed look, lastly I used Memento ink pad London Fog, a nice light grey colour.
Bird stamp is Tim Holtz and stamped with spectrum noir inks spritzed with water.
A Grungeboard "F" was painted with the gold paint and stamped over in memento grey with the small feather stamp.

Hello everyone

Challenge 175 starts today at Glitter N Sparkle and this week  Love is in the Air.

My DT inspiration card was made using the beautiful Image Aurora from The EastWind.

I have used papers from my stash and distressed and torn the edges before adding vintage photo distress inks, a doily heart was inked with tattered rose and vintage photo, as were the edges of my image.  Image was coloured with promarkers and glitter added to areas of flowers and dress (not showing in photo sorry) .Sentiment was stamped in espresso ink and same distress inks were used before punching out heart shape, the two other hearts were in my stash.  I also added some vintage lace and the gorgeous roses which I had been keeping....just couldn't use them lol, until now as I thought they complemented Aurora perfectly.

Challenge 174 starts today at Glitter N Sparkle which is Fireworks/Glitter, hope you can come over and join in the fun.

My image is called Lola from Zuri Artsy Crafty.  Lola was a fun image to work with and I have added lots and lots of glitter.....

I coloured Lola with Promarkers added glitter to her hat and of course she is painting with glitter paint, this I mounted onto glitter card, the next layer has been stamped with stamps from Indigo Blu and  Adirondak inks with various circles and splatters this was then added to more glitter card on a square card base.........Lola is a very messy painter and  splashes everywhere....

Q is for Quote

Another Art Journal page for today Q is the letter The Craft Barn have asked for this fortnight in the Alpha/Dictionary challenge.  I am just in under the wire due to illness these winter bugs are really a pain will be glad when spring comes.
Anyway today between coughing fits I managed to finish my page.

I have used various ~Tim Holtz stamps and others on the background which was firstly given a wash of greens and blues, this was a bit bright I felt so I dry brushed some white gesso over and blasted with heat gun.

I really like how the background stamping onto water colour paper makes for a distressed look faded in places darker in others. I stamped in Adirondack Denim, Distress inks vintage photo, chipped sapphire, broken china, brushed corduroy.

Stamps were Tim Holtz Fairytale Frenzy and selection from Visual Artistry collections.  This AJ page will also fit in well with the  Country View Challenge - make your own backgrounds.  Lastly the "Quote" is one of my favourites in Tim's collection which I stamped in denim onto a piece of card I had in my stash which already had a wash on it, I stamped in denim and used vintage photo and chipped sapphire to distress the panel after I had distressed edges with tool.  Butterflies were found in my bits and bobs box and same inks were used to age them.
