<div>
Hello again </div>
<div>
Once again life has taken over and it’s been a while since my last blog. Unfortunately my Husband had a heart attack several weeks ago which was such a shock, he is now improving and life is returning to normal, so I managed some time in my craft room.</div>
<div>
<a href="http://countryviewchallenges.blogspot.com/2019/11/november-2019-hand-stamped.html">Country View Challenges</a> for November is hand stamped and of course I had to join in being a stampaholic.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Here is my project using Lavinia Stamps, these are new stamps to me and I love using them to build scenes, this one Winters Walk was a challenge for me as keeping white space clean is no easy task.......as I always seem to have inky fingers lol.</div>

<br /></div>
<div>
Hi</div>
<div>
I have spent some more time crafting and managed to finish this mini JJ Album using Eileen Hulls die and a digital kit from <b>Artymaze</b> called Natures Walk <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
and some stamping, now I cut the cover out a long time ago before my world went upside down ( see last post) from mountboard and sticky sided canvas and it was left. </div>
<div>
So when I revisited it this week I decided to use distress inks on the canvas in a random way, and made the topper with scraps from my bit box and left overs from the kit. The inside is a mixture of digital kit papers, coffee stained papers, other scraps and some stamping, I didn’t want to clutter it too much as I wanted space to journal as the size is small.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div>
<br /></div>
I am entering into the challenge at Mini Album Makers <a href="https://minialbummakers.blogspot.com/">https://minialbummakers.blogspot.com/</a>. I have missed making albums so it was a great satisfaction to play again.<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
Hello it has been an age since I last posted on my blog mainly due to my Mum becoming more dependent on me and at the same time my husband was diagnosed with Cancer early 2018, thankfully he is well and out the other side a cancer survivor. Mum sadly passed away peacefully this year she was 97.<br />
Now hopefully as life has settled down again I am trying to get back into my craft room, seems like I’m a beginner all over again as I am so much out of practice. I bought myself as a little treat some new stamps, a new range to me, Lavinia Stamps, now I hear you all shouting where have you been.....lol. <br />
So I have been playing with my distress and oxide inks and my new fabulous Lavinia stamps, which I am totally in love with. I came across their blog <a href="https://laviniastamps.com/lavinia-stamps-monthly-creative-challenge">https://laviniastamps.com/lavinia-stamps-monthly-creative-challenge</a> “If You Go Down To The Woods Today” and decided to be brave and post an entry 2 tags I made.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9cYfVX-OdHc/XYjkof-D1eI/AAAAAAAAKJk/_0Qko1y0UFosv0sSYW2QACzYDdMlPHSUgCLcBGAsYHQ/s1600/B3C44851-9204-4CC1-8C17-2D26FE532B26.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1345" data-original-width="1366" height="392" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9cYfVX-OdHc/XYjkof-D1eI/AAAAAAAAKJk/_0Qko1y0UFosv0sSYW2QACzYDdMlPHSUgCLcBGAsYHQ/s400/B3C44851-9204-4CC1-8C17-2D26FE532B26.jpeg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I stamped in black versafine ink, mixture of distress and oxide inks for background, 2nd tag background distress inks, stamped trees in memento London fog, and versafine black, added glitter to wings sparkle not showing up in photo.<br />
<br />
Stamps used: Skinny Mushrooms, woodland Hares, Forest Scene, Autumn Fall Large<br />
<br />
It was great fun to be back crafting so hopefully I will see you all again soon.q<br />

<br />
Hi<br />
<br />
Today I would like to share a Christmas Envelope Mini Junk Album in a Paper Bag which I have made up as I went along. |It all started with some envelopes which I had received through the post and saved, these had clear windows which I wanted to use in the album, then when the mini was complete I decided to make a paper bag for my mini to sit in and this is the result, there are lots of photos hope you can stay 'till the end with me. I will be joining in with <a href="https://minialbummakers.blogspot.co.uk/">Mini Album Makers November Challenge</a>.<br />
<br />

Paper bag was cut down to size and sew all around to form pocket to hold mini and a smaller pocket was sewn to the front for tags which I made from paper and coffee stained paper on the back for journaling. I stamped the paper bag with Tim Holtz stamps and added Christmas trims</div>

2 recycled envelopes were used and papers were sewn to them first and sewn together through the middle to assemble pages, lots of pockets in this mini, all tags were made from designer papers and coffee stained papers for journaling and pages left blank for either journaling or photos, everything used was in my stash. It came together very quickly and developed as I went, this seems to be the way I work a fun project to do.</div>

Today I am sharing an envelope mini junk journal and will be playing at <a href="https://minialbummakers.blogspot.co.uk/">Mini Album Makers Challenge</a> but before I show you my album I would like to say how super surprised and excited I was to win the prize Seth Apter donated for their first challenge September challenge which you can see in photo below, so today I had chance to have a play with them all and I have used them to make my JJ, I had such fun too.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wTzyWSgU6kw/WfSqKZzt-5I/AAAAAAAAJho/1032mx30JG02X3KHIXzLy_IL8w_zPYAUACKgBGAs/s1600/708E2AA8-4918-4905-8CBB-1660EDB8AAC9.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1195" data-original-width="1600" height="238" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wTzyWSgU6kw/WfSqKZzt-5I/AAAAAAAAJho/1032mx30JG02X3KHIXzLy_IL8w_zPYAUACKgBGAs/s320/708E2AA8-4918-4905-8CBB-1660EDB8AAC9.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I am addicted to making these mini Albums and always save envelopes from the mail I trimmed the top to tidy it up I have to say I don’t always do this as I like the rough edge to show usually but this one was a bit too jagged as I wanted to use it for the covers of my JJ.<br />
Distress crayons were used for the background layer of colour, then using distress inks, distress oxides And distress crayons I had a great time with Seth’s stencils and stamps in my prize......still can’t belive I was so lucky.....hope I have done them justice.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-VHlv185UVNY/WfSqk9CShUI/AAAAAAAAJhw/HsKFDyEjyogxxk9zbOyk5JwLsVhHGqnTwCKgBGAs/s1600/2F914E29-E461-432F-887B-010B0A774885.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1584" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-VHlv185UVNY/WfSqk9CShUI/AAAAAAAAJhw/HsKFDyEjyogxxk9zbOyk5JwLsVhHGqnTwCKgBGAs/s320/2F914E29-E461-432F-887B-010B0A774885.jpeg" width="316" /></a></div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
I had no idea really what I was going to make but this is the way I like to play and I am really pleased with the result. All the pages are sewn together and I added stitching to the front to highlight the words I had used from the large stencil.<br />
I will us this JJ for putting in my ideas and jotting down notes on the go as this is usually where an<br />
idea striI never have any paper. With this in mind I have left blank pages using coffe dyed paper sewn together leaving a pocket at the top of each page, useful for keeping notes, or folded envelopes....lol.<br />

<br /></div>
While I was cleaning the stencils I noticed my working paper was looking very nice so I have used this in my papers, you can see from the following photos, a larger piece was cut to size and sewn together with some coffe dyed paper and folded up at the bottom to make a pocket where I have added 2notebooks I made, the binding is again my waste paper.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-UdpB7H_4sjE/WfSuLHkp3MI/AAAAAAAAJiY/N_jesnN8eiIZEK5Ov0aVKR5NsyfqrN6zwCKgBGAs/s1600/981288EC-EDCD-427C-9FC6-06A648377F16.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1193" data-original-width="1600" height="238" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-UdpB7H_4sjE/WfSuLHkp3MI/AAAAAAAAJiY/N_jesnN8eiIZEK5Ov0aVKR5NsyfqrN6zwCKgBGAs/s320/981288EC-EDCD-427C-9FC6-06A648377F16.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Tuck spots were created on another page with torn pieces and some washy tape.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gB6SV7Jca-U/WfSuu9bpcJI/AAAAAAAAJio/sPhnmgyr2kslcWpDd3wGRgdKhghvO6D0gCKgBGAs/s1600/9B89EF07-FFB8-45AB-B978-E0F789269F1A.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="961" data-original-width="1600" height="192" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gB6SV7Jca-U/WfSuu9bpcJI/AAAAAAAAJio/sPhnmgyr2kslcWpDd3wGRgdKhghvO6D0gCKgBGAs/s320/9B89EF07-FFB8-45AB-B978-E0F789269F1A.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Inside the front cover I made another little note pad which was sewn together and glued in.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/--VCXOrCxz1E/WfS3DZ_p-HI/AAAAAAAAJjU/4v26HUPRUXQiB6e3VzpviWd3zzRP16urwCKgBGAs/s1600/81220420-7DA9-48E5-A941-1EBB03E65A4E.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1120" data-original-width="1600" height="223" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/--VCXOrCxz1E/WfS3DZ_p-HI/AAAAAAAAJjU/4v26HUPRUXQiB6e3VzpviWd3zzRP16urwCKgBGAs/s320/81220420-7DA9-48E5-A941-1EBB03E65A4E.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Finally the back cover washi tape was used to secure the bakers twine som that the closure would stay attached when opened, a Tim Holtz clip was used.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Today I'm Sharing my very first Junk Journal I have wanted to make one for so long and at long last I got my hands on Eileen Hull Journal Die from Country View Crafts and I was off. I am also sharing this JJ with the <a href="http://www.vintagejourney.com/2017/09/altered-art.html">A Vintage Journey challenge </a>which is Alterted Art and <a href="https://minialbummakers.blogspot.co.uk/2017/09/mini-album-makers-challenge-blog-launch.html">Mini Album Makers Challenge</a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7VoCEdRvz9k/WbwmgBQu_5I/AAAAAAAAJao/JEciAtZscWEFScDHHksZmO0xBlTos7eFgCKgBGAs/s1600/IMG_0087.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1031" height="320" src="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-7VoCEdRvz9k/WbwmgBQu_5I/AAAAAAAAJao/JEciAtZscWEFScDHHksZmO0xBlTos7eFgCKgBGAs/s320/IMG_0087.JPG" width="206" /></a></div>
<br />
The Die is fabulous and making the covers is so addictive, I have cut several now from all sorts of recycled bits they are waiting to be turned into my next projects what ever that may be lol. <br />
However back to this post, I have cut the covers from recycled mount board hubby had disguarded, it was a not very nice shade of brown, I was going to paint over with gesso and colour, but at the last minute I decided to see if I could run the covers through an embossing folder....yes it worked. Next step I painted with paper artsy paint, colour chalk which is a soft cream, sanded this back and I just loved the result so stopped there. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_H-OHdIHUMA/WbwrPJIQPKI/AAAAAAAAJcU/cGYqRoi9HOktkZsivA0b_xeCT2SyglubACKgBGAs/s1600/IMG_0217.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1155" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_H-OHdIHUMA/WbwrPJIQPKI/AAAAAAAAJcU/cGYqRoi9HOktkZsivA0b_xeCT2SyglubACKgBGAs/s320/IMG_0217.JPG" width="230" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
The tag was recycled from my bits box which I stamped over Tim Holtz stamps, the lace was originally a piece from lace collar from Mums sewing box when she last had a clear out, and the trim on the spine was from my Grandmothers sewing bits and bobs I inherited from her along with her singer treadle sewing machine which I still have. To finish the cover I went over the edges with Creative Expressions Glitter Kiss which is gorgeous and sparkly but in a subtle way.<br />
<br />
I have also started on the pages using lots of Tim Holtz stamps and coffe dyed papers, I have really enjoyed this new journey and love love trying out new things, playing with stamps and punches and lace all my me happy. As you can see from the thickness of the book I have gone a bit overboard hee hee hee but it is so addictive once you start.<br />

<br /></div>
<div>
Today I would like to share a card I made for the Claritystamp Challenge on Facebook, using up some of my backgrounds I have been making so this was quick card to put together.</div>
<div>
Background was made with Distress Inks and I also added some Ken Oliver Colour Burst and spritzed lightly.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kmZxE1st97E/WK2fTmc22yI/AAAAAAAAJS8/xKOFf8h3t7Uq7DVoAVrOsbOer-R8ltCtACPcB/s1600/IMG_0324.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="370" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kmZxE1st97E/WK2fTmc22yI/AAAAAAAAJS8/xKOFf8h3t7Uq7DVoAVrOsbOer-R8ltCtACPcB/s400/IMG_0324.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Using Claritystamp stamps I stamped 3 times onto the dried background with shabby shutter distress ink for a muted image. I married two stamps together as I wanted to use this pretty Lady's Mantel stamp and the stem from another. Word stamp stamped onto same background cutout and Flakes applied to edges.......very sticky fingers..... 😊</div>
<div>
Using flitter glue For the final image and Guilding Flakes I also dabbed glue randomly onto background and applied the Flakes.</div>
<div>
This panel was mounted onto coordinations card which I sanded back, added to a Kraft card blank.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I would also like to add to the following challenges</div>

.......Is Love<br />
<br />
After a mamouth clear out of my craft room and 4 sacks of recycled card and paper later I have nearly finished not quite still some boxes to go through, I have been brutal with all the bits and scraps of card and paper also items to alter have gone......although I still have 1 box of backgrounds and large scraps of card. So today I had a fabulous time in my tidy craft room making a mess oh yes my empty desk is no longer but I had great fun getting inky.<br />
<br />
I have used Sheena Douglass stamps from her range of A Little bit Festive proving Christmas stamps do not always have to be used just for Christmas. This Victorian Gentleman is so handsome don't you think.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-O4JiFRoLVxI/WKYAMxcSXlI/AAAAAAAAJRw/PtFL3nUHGjANEschWQhJpa89wEcDNF0zQCPcB/s1600/IMG_0315.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-O4JiFRoLVxI/WKYAMxcSXlI/AAAAAAAAJRw/PtFL3nUHGjANEschWQhJpa89wEcDNF0zQCPcB/s320/IMG_0315.JPG" width="220" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-PsSiOsYONNs/WKYArbznAwI/AAAAAAAAJR4/rKddSTcIIqUqiMyLt6T8-Vd8033VgbpFgCPcB/s1600/IMG_0314.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-PsSiOsYONNs/WKYArbznAwI/AAAAAAAAJR4/rKddSTcIIqUqiMyLt6T8-Vd8033VgbpFgCPcB/s320/IMG_0314.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
My gentleman was coloured using Spectrum Noir Pencils, distress ink vintage photo was blended onto card for a vintage feel, next this was embossed with a Sheena folder which I distressed the edges and blended vintage photo and ground expresso on the embossing, gold guilding wax was added to the embossed area also.<br />
The paper I founded while clearing up and it reminded me of Victorian wallpaper, but it was too clean so I distressed with vintage photo and the edges where distressed and torn...that's better..... guilding wax was also added to edges.<br />
Tim Holtz tattered banner was cut from card coloured with distress ink barn door vintage photo stamped in ground espresso. The background piece was stamped and distressed as before, the word love was a wooden word coloured in same inks and gold guilding wax applied to edges. All this was mounted onto Kraft card .<br />
<br />
I would like to join the following challenges<br />

Words from same set on the same background stencilled with circles and cut out, a very quick make which all came together in a flash.....I do like days like this......<br />

This Christmas card was made using a stamp set from Sheena Douglass stamp range.<br />
I stamped with Distress ink vintage photo and blended with water for a watercolour look.<br />
The sparkle on the snow and on the trees was added with spectrum noir clear sparkle pen which I have tried to capture in this photo<br />

Hi bloggers<br />
<br />
I have been on a new crafting journey this year as I was introduced to the Clarity Stamps Groovy Board system for parchment crafting, many many years ago I tried this craft and quickly realised that my Line work was not good, so gave up, this System means I get crisp lines everytime and I am really enjoying learning the new skills required to take this Groovy Journey further, this said I made this Christmas card<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cEQIHK93bBY/WGdwaH3GREI/AAAAAAAAJFA/gxt9IEkV8vwXcbkEAfefyvlde-80sHgXACPcB/s1600/IMG_0139.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="304" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-cEQIHK93bBY/WGdwaH3GREI/AAAAAAAAJFA/gxt9IEkV8vwXcbkEAfefyvlde-80sHgXACPcB/s320/IMG_0139.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I used the new Groovi Club Baby Plate which is sooooooo cute and I would like to enter this in the<br />
Clarity Challenge, I am being brave as this is only the second card I have made with this system, all my other attempts with this system are still works in progress so watch this space as they say I may be brave and post them....lol. '''Tis a scary journey for a Stampaholic........no stamps no ink used!!!!<br />

What a day At Wimbledon Andy Murray wins for the second time.......I was so nervous that I just had to make something while the match was on otherwise I would have no nails left by now lol. As we are away in the Motorhome I only had a few bits with me but managed to make a hanging, with free stamp from Craft Stamper Magazine seahorse, distress inks...never leave home without them....and shell stamps from somewhere.....<br />
My hanging fits in with Country View Crafts July challenge circles (air bubbles)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-36m1a7k9pDk/V4KHCZw38oI/AAAAAAAAI7A/M9cfSnMTkzg1rombLBvqLlrbmN67quDPwCKgB/s1600/image.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-36m1a7k9pDk/V4KHCZw38oI/AAAAAAAAI7A/M9cfSnMTkzg1rombLBvqLlrbmN67quDPwCKgB/s320/image.jpeg" width="317" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The sea horse was stamped on to card which had been splooshed with distress inks in momento ink expresso, which I cut out between the breaks in the match, as were the shells all edges were distressed<br />
Background was made using distress inks these were also splooshed over the card and water drops added (more circles) . Lastly I inked up the sea horse stamp just around the edges where the bubbles were with white brilliance ink added string and it was done..... Now watching Heather Watson in mixed doubles.......omg!!!!!!<br />
<br />

<br />
I couldn't resist this Trio of Owls and have coloured them in bright colours which I really think suits the Whimsical look of the design and it was great fun.<br />
Spectrum Noir pens were my choice of colouring medium in bright pink, pale blue, lime green and yellow. I cut them into three tags added distress ink around the edges and coordinating ribbons. The background was a piece of pearl pink card which I embossed with a brick design embossing folder by Sheena Douglass.<br />
Hope to see you over at the Challenge <br />

<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Today I am posting my DT inspiration for <a href="http://glitternsparklechallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/">Glitter N Sparkle Challenge #193 </a>which starts today and the theme this week is <b><i>Anything Goes.</i></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

My sponsored image for this challenge is from <i><b>Auror Wings</b></i> </div>

<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I wanted to make something other than a card and as these cute mermaids reminded me of the Sea so I decided on a hanging and my theme was seaside based. I found a frame that had been lurking in my craft room and painted chalk paint in places. The Mermaids were cut with one of my <i>favourite dies a Tattered Lace circle die, I always seem to reach for this one as it is so versatile I love the holes which can be threaded with ribbon or thread for a different look</i>. Spectrum Noir Pens for colouring the Mermaids, I added sequins to their tails and gems and also a little glitter here and there, I mounted onto foam pads for height and added some net and various die cuts.</div>

This is a gorgeous image to work with so many possibilities I chose to keep things simple.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have used Spectrum Noir pens to colour image, which I printed out twice and cut out the flowers to give dimension, the edges were inked with peacock feathers distress ink. An embossing folder from spellbinders was used for the white layer and bakers twine wrapped around. The sentiment is from stampin' up so are the oval punches. Edges of card were inked with same ink and I attached the main image with foam pads.</div>

These gorgeous butterflies are a joy to colour so many possibilities, I chose to colour with Spectrum Noir and added glitter to them which does show up on a close up just really hard to get the camera to show it up well, the sentiments were cut with spellbinders dies and I inked through the dies with distress ink, mowed lawn and picked raspberry. The designer paper was added to the card blank before adding the sentiments, the butterflies I mounted on foam pads.<br />

Sunflowers are my favourite flower they remind me of summer and always look so cheerful.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have coloured with Spectrum Noir pens and kept the image quite large to fill my card blank. I added glitter to the wings of my butterfly and also to the centre of the sunflower. Teal ribbon and vintage lace were the finishing touches for my card. A simple design and a quick card to make, I wanted to allow this beautiful image to be the star.</div>

I decided on this lovely paper another from my stash bits box so no idea of the origin, I loved the colour palate and carried the colours into her clothes. I punched white card with a lovely lacy punch and cut the edge from a scalloped piece of Jade card. I inked all the edges of the card paper and image with distress inks picked raspberry and peacock feathers. Lastly a rummage for some flowers and a lucky find was the Ice cream sundae chipboard embellishment, the colours were a perfect match.</div>

Hi</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The Weeks just seem to fly by these days I turned around and <a href="http://thecraftbarnblog.blogspot.co.uk/2016/04/alphadictionary-challenge-2016.html">The Craft Barn</a> have announced another letter in the Alpha Challenge I am trying to keep up with lol.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
This time the letter is S and the twist is use a shell, well I immediately thought seaside......<i>wish I was there.........</i>but after reading through my dictionary I found the word <b><i>Seaweed</i></b> so I ran with it.</div>
<div>
on my page I have included several S words......<b><i>Seaweed,</i></b><i> Seahorse, Shells </i>in my Underwater Scene</div>
<div>
<i><br /></i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-EylKmKF2LUQ/VxzV8rqadfI/AAAAAAAAItI/GdJJt4xJ9mIBKtqrDHLg5lAbX-PL4MKGQCLcB/s1600/AJ%2BPAGEapril%2BCB.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://4.bp.blogspot.com/-EylKmKF2LUQ/VxzV8rqadfI/AAAAAAAAItI/GdJJt4xJ9mIBKtqrDHLg5lAbX-PL4MKGQCLcB/s400/AJ%2BPAGEapril%2BCB.jpg" width="392" /></a></div>
<div>
Firstly I washed over the whole page with Aqua Tint Inks using lots of water, next I wiped over with a damp baby wipe to lighten areas. </div>
<div>
My stamps are from Sheena Douglas A Little Sketchy Range - I used 3 sets in all I will put all the details at the end of the post, using 2 different colours of Aqua tint Colour I painted them onto the seaweed stamps they were quite wet and stamped I love the effect this gives and was really pleased with the resulting seaweed which really looks like it is under the water. </div>
<div>
I had to add a Seahorse to the scene as I adore these cute little animals they fascinate me and the male looks after the babies!!, would love to see one in real life. <br />
The seahorse was inked up with distress inks peacock feathers and over stamped in vintage photo, there is one solid stamp and one detailed which is great for this effect. The little fishes were stamped in vintage photo and with damp paint brush I moved the ink around the images.</div>
<div>
Lastly I stamped the shells in distress paint - fossilized amber and tea dye, there was a lot of paint on the image which I painted into the shell shape which gave an opaque cover, dried this with heat gun and over stamped in vintage photo and spiced marmalade to give back the shell definition. The edges of the pages were inked with vintage photo, also the dictionary quote edges and the letter S which was firstly painted with the same distress paints and lastly there is a great quote stamp with the set and it just seemed to fit........</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
To discover a seashell is to discover a world of Imagination - Michelle Held</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Phew hope you hung on in to the end lol, this took longer to type than to make. I had great fun making my mixed media Art Journal page and am really pleased with the result, thinking I might make another one in a similar way but on canvas and hang in the bathroom I have just the space........</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Many thanks for the lovely comments left on my last AJ page post everyone is appreciated very much.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This week the challenge at <a href="http://glitternsparklechallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/">Glitter N Sparkle</a> is Anything Goes.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My card is using an image from <i><b>Imagine That</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><i>Petunia and Humming Bird</i></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I had great fun creating my card with this image which makes me think of late Spring, wish we had Hummingbirds in the UK.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Using Spectrum Noir pens to colour in the image I choose a Teal colour for the Hummingbird and bright pinks for the Petunias, the paper is mounted onto Teal card and I added glitter around the edges of the paper, also on the Humming Bird's tail and wings and lastly around the outside edge of the image before mounting onto the die cut scallop circle.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Sentiment was stamped onto card using Archival black ink then using a hand punch for the label shape.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I would also like to play at the following challenges</div>

<br />
<br />
Todays post is another AJ page, as you know I have been playing along with the <a href="http://thecraftbarnblog.blogspot.co.uk/2016/04/alpha-dictionary-challenge.html">Craft Barn Alpha Challenge</a>
and the letter for this 2 weeks is D with a twist Pink has to be included! I have missed the last two challenges but I do intend to do the pages so my journal is complete.<br />
<br />
Dragonfly and Spring popped straight into my head and I have this fabulous stamp set from Sheena Douglass Range of stamps with matching dies, I love this set, and any excuse to use it and I'm there.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MwUsQX9SddU/VwuLEEjMKjI/AAAAAAAAIrg/QSVpoBXZhuEbmL59xDCBFMl4aTPDFADRg/s1600/craft%2Bbarn%2BD%2Bapril.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-MwUsQX9SddU/VwuLEEjMKjI/AAAAAAAAIrg/QSVpoBXZhuEbmL59xDCBFMl4aTPDFADRg/s400/craft%2Bbarn%2BD%2Bapril.jpg" width="387" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used distress Inks picked raspberry, mown lawn and vintage photo, using a stencil again from Sheena Douglass range I inked the wild flowers moving stencil across page, I then blended the same inks over the page and spritzed with water, the flowers wicked slightly, I really like this effect it softens the stencil a little and the background goes nice and splodgy....I like that word lol......</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The Dragonfly was stamped in vintage photo straight onto the page, also stamped and die cut twice from copy paper and white card. The Paper Dragonfly was coloured with picked raspberry and then stamped in black archival, I also used gold pebeo gilding wax on the wings this really shines in real life photo doesn't really pick it up, the card dragonfly was painted in gold metallic paint and stamped over in archival ink. I choose to cut them out first and then stamp them I find it an easier process.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Lastly I used the beautiful corner stamp in vintage photo and the word Dragonfly both stamps come in the set.</div>
<br />
<br />
I would also like to join the following challenges<br />

<br />
Today I am posting my DT card for <a href="http://glitternsparklechallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/">Glitter N Sparkle Challenge Blog</a> for this weeks challenge which is
Sun, Moon, Stars (Space)<br />
<br />
My image is <i><b>Ashley on a Rocke</b></i>t from one of the Sponsers for this challenge <b><i>Sunsational Stamps</i></b>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I cut the image with aTattered Lace Die and using a circle punch for the corners, I then coloured the image with Spectrum Noir pens and added glitter to some areas, so difficult to photo,</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
the sentiment is a stamp I have for ages and I can't remember where from. I stamped onto white card with black archival ink and edged around with dried marigold distress ink. This was mounted onto design paper from my stash onto orange and black card, the card blank was run through an embossing folder and distress ink dried marigold was applied over the raised areas. Stars were punched out of various card and inked with dried marigold, small stars are from my button jar.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have used spectrum Noir pens to colour the image, die cut with tattered lace circle which also cuts holes which are perfect for using thread or ribbon through, I have threaded with bakers twine in a vintage taupe, I punched the sentiment with circle punches and coloured the larger one with a spectrum noir pen to match my image. All the edges were inked with vintage photo distress ink and corners of paper have been rolled back for a slightly shabby look. Hope you can join in the fun this week.</div>
