Extreme Masking - Halloween
This week we turned to page 61 I was soooo excited as I have been waiting for this page to be turned too by Linda at Studio L3 who is setting us these challenges and allowing us to play and have fun and share all the lovely art that all the lovely girls and boys are coming up with, if you have the book drop in and take part you will have lots and lots of fun!!
Now it seemed only right to link this week with Halloween.......... but I don't have anything in my collection like witches, ghosts, bats etc., sooooooooooo if you can imagine you are looking into a cemetery over the railings and a big black raven has just landed on the railings and the moon is shining down casting an Erie..................are you with me yet.............ok .........now your in my mind - scary place to be who needs Halloween!
I used perfect pearls in step 2 just because Linda said.... but step 6 (on the railings) didn't turn out quite as it was meant too - but I went with it. DI inks used were Rusty Hinge and Chipped Sapphire layering them gave me the different shades of colours. Stamps Tim Holtz from Shabby French Plate, Mask Ideology Borders TH.
Going to have a look at what everyone has done and leave comments
Bye for now

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning tag. I love how you put an eerie cast on the moon---actually looks like drifting clouds.
ReplyDeleteI love the faint moon! This is a spectacular tag with wonderful masking!
ReplyDeleteWow. How creative. You must have a wonderful imagination. I used the same bird but very differently. I had tried using that mask but couldn't make anything good happen. Your tag is awesome.

Your fence and bird came out splendidly for your tag!
ReplyDeleteMaggie, this is unbelievably, mind-blowingly GORGEOUS! It's a perfect Halloween scene, absolutely perfect, and that glowing moon shining down on the raven and railings is beautifully spooky. Your masking couldn't be better, and you truly managed to create a nighttime scene while keeping the details crisp, and that's not an easy thing to do. I LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly what it feels like. You achieved a great spooky feel and used a great mask.
