Week #19 Compendium of Curiosites Challenge

Extreme Masking - Halloween

This week we turned to page 61 I was soooo excited as I have been waiting  for this page to be turned too by Linda at Studio L3 who is setting us these challenges and allowing us to play and have fun and share all the lovely art that all the lovely girls and boys are coming up with, if you have the book drop in and take part you will have lots and lots of fun!!

Now it seemed only right to link this week with Halloween.......... but I don't have anything in my collection like witches, ghosts, bats etc., sooooooooooo if you can imagine you are looking into a cemetery over the railings  and a big black raven has just landed on the railings and the moon is shining down casting an Erie..................are you with me yet.............ok .........now your in my mind -  scary place to be who needs Halloween!

I used perfect pearls in step 2 just because Linda said.... but step 6 (on the railings) didn't turn out quite as it was meant too - but I went with it. DI inks used were Rusty Hinge and Chipped Sapphire layering them gave me the different shades of colours. Stamps Tim Holtz from Shabby French Plate, Mask Ideology Borders TH.

Going to have a look at what everyone has done and leave comments

SUNDAY STAMPERS

GREEN TAG

Over at Sunday Stamper this weeks challenge is green, this got me scratching the old grey matter as I'm not really a green sort of gal, but never to be beaten I thought of the things I like that are green and trees being one of my favourite things I went with the idea and here is my Green Tag for this weeks Sunday Stampers challenge.

Stamps used for the Trees are from Creative Expressions designed and drawn by the talented Sheena Douglas from the plate More Trees- I have a lot of her designs and I love them all. Stamped in Ranger DI inks Pine Needles and Crushed Olive which I then sprayed with water and let the inks move around the card to form the background, inked edges in both colours, text stamp is from Tim Holtz Collection Good Thoughts plate.  Hope you like it I was really pleased how it turned out considering I didn't have the slightest idea what I was going to do - the tag just evolved!

CCC Week #18

Santa Post Tag

Wahoooo I'm back what a terrible few weeks I have had, firstly I was ill with a dreadful flu/cold then my computer crashed and died, it came back from the 'puter' doctor last night and my first port of call was the CC Challenge set by the lovely Linda at Studio L3 after missing week #17 which hopefully I will catch up on; I was determined not to miss this week and what a lovely surprise I had when I turned to  page 37 I had not tried this technique before Wow I love it it is so easy and I will be using it many many times I'm sure, in fact the hardest thing I found was cleaning the stamp as in my excitement I let the paint dry before cleaning the stamp - note to self don't do this again!!! that swirl is so fine.

I used Dabber paint Cloudy Blue (didn't have white so used palest I had) DI; worn lipstick, pine needles, shabby shutters, crushed olive ; Stamps Tim Holtz swirl from shabby french plate and Santa Post card stamp; other Images from Stampin' Up! Winter Post stamp set.

I'm going to wiz over to the see what everyone else has been upto this week and leave some comments sorry if I don't get round them all.
