Oil Pastels...........

....Calender Page Week 3 - March
OMG this weeks Calendar page has been a hard "challenge" for me, firstly I have had a bug of some sort which has left me with no energy so today was the first chance I have had to play....The Craft Barn Calendar Challenge this week was to use Yellow/Green/White using oil pastels. Now I have never used these before so using DH's oil pastels I set off to make my page following the techniques shown last week....... as you will see from my calendar not my finest hour................ eeeekkkk

First I tried Michelle's method using a Tim Holtz Applicator..........not very successful at all not sure what I did wrong...........so I decided to  scribble 2 shades of green and 2 shades of yellow onto the card and blend together with the applicator and some elbow grease ...phew lol....... although it is not the smooth background I was looking for I went with the abstract look and scratched a "sun" at the top, stamp is one I have had for years  Marie Curie Cancer Care stamp by docrafts which I stamped onto a strip of card and clear embossed then using the pastels I coloured in the image and blended with my finger.......mmmmmmmmm....... I blended a little more colour around the image. As I said not my finest hour but at least I tried out the Oil Pastels will need more practise I think!!!!!

Last but not least thank you everyone who commented on my last Calender Page and all my posts I really appreciate everyone of them.....Thank You!

I'm popping over now to see how the other ladies have done with week 3 and catch up on some blogs
'till next time.
