Wish I was there.................

...by the Sea

I am having so much fun altering my dictionary, this is my first altered book project thanks to The Craft Barn and the Alpha Challenge which has inspired me to get started......now I can't stop waiting and wishing the days away until they announce the next letter of the Alphabet.

This is my second page for the "C" word and I have chosen Coast.......sooooooooooo wish I was by the sea and not snowed in.

I have used Tim Holtz Distress markers and water to make a wash over the page the dictionary paper is not good for this process but I was happy with the uneven look so I ran with it.  Stamps are Hobby Art clear stamps Faraway Set I am ashamed to say I have had this set for oh..............1 year ish and this is the first time I have inked them.........bad stamper!!

Thanks for all the positive comments I have received for my "Capital" page they are much appreciated.  Before you go ...........................

anyone for Alfresco Eating.................

.........................no...................rofl..................taken yesterday (wednesday)

'till next time

  1. More lovely pages, and I still haven't started mine! I, too, would love to be at the coast, somewhere warm and sunny, instead of being here in the icy wastes! Hugs, Valerie

  3. loving your pages Maggie. Have you thought about thinly applying Gesso first to your pages before painting them as this then gives the paint a better surface to work on. Annette x

  6. Lovely art, Maggie, for your word coast. The coast is close, yet not close enough! But at least I am not in the snow for a while.

  7. Beautiful spread Maggie, I love your chosen word and how you have depicted it, so very calm and peaceful. Lol I moved from a busy seaside town a couple of years ago and know they didn't escape the snow!! Hmm really miss the sound and smell of the sea but really happy where I am now too!
