Trick or Treat......and a little bit Spooky

Hello bloggers sorry it has been so quite over here but somehow "life" seems to have got in the way of my crafting time and I cleaned out my craft room too and have hardly had chance to play in there......... anyway today I just needed some me time and to play with stash I "found" while clearing out my room of stash, so with Halloween  and a few challenges  in mind I have made this......

 

 

Tando Creative Challenges for October is "Spook It" so starting with a Tando Mini Print Tray I "found" in the bottom of a draw seemed a good place to begin, I painted with black paint and when dry I brushed with gold Distress stain.  Using IndigoBlu stamp set Hocus Pocus I stamped several images onto orange stripped paper. Using Tim Holtz Bingo embossing folder and black card I embossed and cut out No. "31"  and cut the big spider with Tim Holtz Alterations die...(I hate spiders) eeek! we have a lot coming into the house at the moment..............

 

 

 

 

Spell bottles were filled with coloured sweet wrappers (yep I keep everything)..... purple, green, and orange, "Spells" was stamped onto card swooshed with distress inks (from my bit box). Stamps are a miniature alpha set, not sure of make. 

 

 

Pumpkin is another "find" and is soft foam I rubbed vintage photo distress ink over it and black soot around the edges, an Idea-ology pin was used to attach a Halloween Sticker (TH) , more stickers - Trick Treat were used at the top of the tray , also I stamped the bird onto orange card.

 Phew I think that's  all it is harder to explain then to make lol, I really enjoyed getting all painty and inky and covered in glue...such fun

Bird on a Branch

Hello everyone sorry I have been such a bad blogger lately, there is so much going on at the moment and I haven't been able to get much crafting done, DH is retiring and so has the job of closing  down his business, sort out the yard and workshop....nearly 30 years of sorting!!.......then there is the office to archive which has been a bit of a nightmare which is where I have been spending such a lot of time......we are getting there now, it also is quite a sad time saying goodbye to staff. DH is looking forward to his retirement and hoping to make more time for his hobbies.........hope he is not planning on using my room..........no...he wouldn't dare.........it is mine and too small for two!!!
Something else that has been time consuming .....I have also been trying to sort my crafty room out as I had lost the table that I work on under all the "stuff" and stash that was on it also the floor was so cluttered I was having trouble walking in there................soooooo it is being  cleared and I am being hard de-cluttering and getting rid.......well putting in boxes...........things I have not used for a long time....... well that's the plan........

Today I settled into my little room with my newly cleared table with a big big space to work in and played with the gorgeous items I had won in the August challenge over at  Tando Creative Challenge Blog .......thanks Di. 

                                                             My Prize Goodies

 I used Tando Mask Bird and Branch and my new distress inks picked rasberry, mowed lawn and salty ocean oh these are gorgeous colours and by mixing picked rasberry and salty ocean the bird has a lovely lilac tint.

 

Next I took a Tando mini bookplate inked this with the three colours and using the mask added some leaves, on a small piece of seperate card and mask added leaves and stamped a happy birthday mounted this to the back of the mini plate and added two brads.  
This is quite a "clean" card for me but still I couldn't resist distressing the edges of the white card, and inking the edges of the green mat with mowed lawn....... I will be linking to The Tando Challenge Blog ................ would have been rude not to don't you think lol....................  September challenge is Trees and or Leaves, pop on over and join in, there are some great prizes to be won, thank you once again Di.  My table has again disapeared under "stuff" how can I make so much mess on one little card......but I had fun!
