SHABBY CHIC - CC Challenge Week #4
Here we are again another week another CC challenge from Linda at Studio L3. When I first got TH book CC this was the first technique I tried and I love it so easy and great look, I say easy I made the mistake first time of using a stamp without much definition, so design was very "shabby" LOL - was it a mistake or a happy accident I'll let you decide I have posted picture at end of this post. ( the dark blue one)

Here is my art for this weeks challenge, This will be the cover to my book to hold all the challenges. There is a space on the front left for the tittle not sure yet what that will be, but I'm sure there will be another technique I can use for it over the coming weeks!!!!!!
I used Terra Cotta and Aqua Adirondack paint dabbers, the shape was cut using TH Alterations Die, I also cut the background piece of card with the On the Edge Alterations Die; which I have swiped with the same colour paints and sanded to distress. Stamps TH.

Another great challenge and thanks to you all for the lovely comments and for visiting my blog, will be round as many as I can over the next few days I love looking at all your art.

Here is the earlier one I did - mistake or happy accident?!!

I like it just haven't used it - yet!

Bye for now

  1. These look great Maggie! Love the colors you chose.

  2. Maggie, this is Shabby Chic perfection! What a perfect cover for you technique journal. The Terra Cotta and Aqua colors looks awesome together.

As for your first attempt, it's DEFINITELY a happy accident, NOT a mistake!

    Thanks for rocking Week 4!

  3. This is smashing. Great idea to use a journal this way. Annette x

  4. No mistakes in art! Wondeful use of colors and both are great!

  5. I think they are great!! I love the colors. I also love that you planned ahead so that you can bind all the techniques together. Great idea!

  6. great shabby chic and how perfect to have a book to store everything in!

  7. Loving these and the blue one is going to be great what ever you add to it.

I am sorry about your poor doggy loss in April. Thank you for the healing words, I miss dita terribly I have to say but 'The Dude' is really helping with the loss, he is no replacement, after all he's a cat ;0) but he has wormed his way firmly into my heart already after just over a week!

    Love Dawn xx
