Christmas in 10 mins............................

Grungy Monday 23 - Tim in 10

This weeks GM challenge over at Studio L3  is to make a card within 10 mins......lol me make a card in 10 mins.....well this really was a challenge.  Now Linda was kind and said we could gather our bits and bobs together and think about the card and set the timer for 10 mins for the actual making of the project..........Well it would have to be simple and not too much stash used so firstly I sketched a simple design,

and with that in mind I went to my Tim Holtz stash - what else would one use!! lol; I decided to use an embossing folder for a quick impact this would be my main image and pulled out a background from my stash that I had already made and smooched with DI inks as to make one would be too wet for the embossing folder.
With everything gathered I set the timer and off I went...........quickly embossed and inked the image then distressed edges with scissors and inked........... next on went the ribbon........... next I stamped the ticket and inked and attached the 25 sticker............... then I mounted main piece onto card blank and attached with staples ..... thinking double sided could take 10 mins on its own lol.........next attached ticket with foam pads.... time is galloping now.......next button is glued with glossy accents and a length of Bakers Twine was folded together and tied in a knot and cut ends and glued onto button ........timer went off.................phew made it!

I am pleased with the end result and like the staples as they add to the distressed look
below is picture of my work area as I finished and card is still drying...... forgot to take a before one....doh

As you can see I am only working in a small space as desk is covered with stuff waiting to be put away!!!!!!!
Thanks Linda really had fun with this one I may attempt another......we'll see lol

  4. I'm amazed that you got all that done in 10 mins. I would have been wasting time looking at the clock every other second.! Your workspace area looks similar size to mine. Hugs Mrs A.
